Today is our 27th anniversary. Wow. Wow. We met 30 years ago. Believe it or not, it's one of those "fell in love at first sight" stories. I was at work, and this handsome guy walks in and looks around the room, and stopped in his tracks. Then he smiles and walks over to me and tells me "I'm going to marry you one day". I just smiled back at him. He asked me out, and I said no. He asked me a few more times, telling me I'd say yes one day and that he'd keep asking me until I did. I can remember what he wore on our first date...that soft brown corduroy pullover jacket with the big pouch pocket in front. It always smelled of his wonderful cologne. And when we'd walk at night on the beach, he'd wrap it around me when I got chilly. After I got home and went to sleep with my hands under my cheek, I could smell his cologne and fall asleep with a smile on my face. We got married three years later. That same year we had a little sister to join my son.
This is the only photograph we have left like this. And sadly, when the big storm came through, I didn't know I should remove everything hanging on my walls. I never had before. But this time, my photographs were damaged when we lost part of our roof and water leaked inside our walls. I didn't know until a few months later when we starting tearing out the old sheetrock and putting in new. I'd bought all these frames at yard sales and thrift stores before the storm, with the plan to paint them all black and put them on one wall. You can imagine how sick I felt when I discovered the photos stuck to the glass in almost every one of them. One day I'll try to carefully remove it, it's really stuck on the bottom right corner. And I'll try my hand at a photo editing program to see what I can do with it. I made the dress I'm wearing, and the shirt HossFly is wearing.
By the way, tell me what it looks like in the photograph, on that bottom right hand corner. Here's another copy of it, the one I tried to copy with it in the frame. After I took the glass and photo out, it doesn't look like this photo so much. We looked at it with the naked eye, and both saw the same thing. Then I showed it to my daughter who saw it,too.
***********
I should've posted this photo this morning, so you'd know more about the whole series of poses. This is my son at age 4. He died when he was 27. My son died in August of 2004, and Hurricane Katrina hit in August of 2005. And that's how I got the water damage to the photos.

Happy Anniversery!!! 30 is a big one!!! We have almost been married 27! Next month!(-: Our story is much different though...LOL I use to date his brother first! He told me that he knew his brother would "dump" me in no time and he would ask me to marry him(-: That is basically what happened(-: We were engaged after three months of dating and married two months later!(-: I can't see what is in the corner of the picture...what is it?
O.K. after looking closer I see a face.
Have a wonderful anniversary. Love that picture of the two or you.
I also see a face.

Happy Anniversary you guys!! It is always encouraging and hopeful to hear of people married for so long, congratulations. Kudzu you are so beautiful, HossFly isn't too bad either, lol.
Yes, that is definitely a face in the corner. What do you see?
Happy Anniversary!!! Ours 19th was yesterday.
Enjoy the day, both of you!
Okay girl...I'm sitting here with goosebumps on my arms and the hairs on my neck standing up, cause I'm seeing your son in the bottom corner of that picture. I knew it was a face immediately, but then scrolled down to the pic of your son as a little boy, and it just looks too much like him to ignore. Strange and wonderful things do happen in this life...we just have to open our eyes to see them. So Kudzu, Happy Anniversary to you & hubby...great photo! Oooo..and Thanks for my Lemonade award...my very first award ever! I'm still a little PC stupico, so what do I do with it? LOL! *elaine*
Hi ya'll! Thanks for everything :D We saw a face,too....HossFly says it looks like a curly-haired little girl with her hair parted down the middle. I just know I see a face, and it stunned me, when I should be getting used to it, LOL! But it reminded me so much of the photo of all three of us together(the last photo I added in this post.) I've gone back and looked at it several times since this morning.
Elaine, no problem!
Just right click on the Award image, and choose save as. Remember where you put it, and then go to your blog layout, and paste it there :D Ya'll let me know if you need any more help!

I don't know if this works but worth a try, I've heard if you put the glass and pic in the freezer for a few hours it will come unstuck. I would hate to do more damage to the photo so you decide if you want to try it
I saw the face too and Happy Anniversary to you and your husband.
D
I'll be willing to try that,D, I'd love to get it off the glass. And then I can get to work trying to repair a copy of it. Thanks for the advice!
Kudzu
ha, I keep looking at the photographs, they don't look like that in person, you can't see the same exact picture that you can see when you look at it on the computer. The family is still getting goosebumps and freaking.
