HossFly Needs Triple Bypass Surgery
It's all set; pre-op March 31, and surgery April 2. He was so nervous, but since just getting back from this last consultation, he's very confident with his surgeon...of course, he's still nervous, but the doctor says the risk is only 1 to 2%, and that eased Hoss' mind considerably. They tell us he should only be in the hospital for a week. New Orleans isn't that far, but the traffic sucks.

I'll say a prayer for him, the odds are good and I'm sure he'll be glad he had it done once he's recuperated. Keep us posted on his progress.
You are both in my Prayers. Please keep us posted.
Prayers, Bo
I am glad he is getting it taken care of(-: I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers too(-: Medical proceedures have come a long way! My grandpa had one about 20 years ago and he did great at 85! Just amazing what doctors can do! Keep us updated!
Hey Kween...sending on my prayers for you & Hoss. Normal to be nervous, but with a good doc & the good Lord up above, your sweet Hoss will be up and at'em in no time at all. celebrate with the Sunday paper in bed, but go easy on them Krispy Kremes! "HOT DONUTS NOW"!!! Have a great week. *elaine*
Prayers are with you both!! At least there is a surgery option.... some don't have that option! :)
Be well, and keep your spirits high!
Sorry to hear about the surgery but also thankful that we have the dedicated doctors that can do it. Keep thinking possitive thoughts.
Grandkids...Aren't they a hoot??? Reminds me of my son when he used to call Menards...The Nards. That's how he heard it from the song on the commercials. Too funny!!!
Prayers going your way

Thanks Ya'll, I'm a nervous wreck, but I'm not gonna tell him that. You just wouldn't believe the load off his mind when the doctor told him the risk was only 1% to 2%. I couldn't even sleep last night. Hoss said the doctor spoke with such confidence, and the staff who will be with him after surgery all came to say hello throughout the day. Thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers.
Kudzu
Kudzu, you and HossFly will be in my thoughts and prayers! It is amazing that bypass surgery is not the big deal it was 20 years ago. My Bob's heart surgeon said that his heart would be better after the surgery than before. I wish you both the best! - Kathy aka Kat aka Luna Llena Feliz
