It was about 4:30 and I asked Hoss to take me to the local dollar store; I promised The Kid popsicle molds, but we couldn't find any, so we went to buy craft sticks and small plastic cups instead. The store is 5 minutes away, and as soon as we walked in the doors, a huge storm blew in. I had no idea it was gonna storm, I like to unplug the phone from my computer when it does. So anyway, small branches and limbs were all over the road, heavy rains, the winds were dying down as we got back home. Right away we knew power had gone out because of the stove's clock, and the microwave. But it was about an hour before I tried to get on my computer and I found out....she was dead!! My daughter tried to revive her, but it was too late. All my photos are on there.......so now I'm using my daughter's laptop. I'm so sad.....but I'll try to come back and post.

So sorry to hear about your puter. Hope you get it replaced soon. Love seeing all your fairy projects.
ReplyDeleteSo sad about the lightning strike... I always worry about that being in the "Lightning Capitol" of the US...We do get a lot of storms and the lightning can be fierce!! Hope you get back up & running real soon. *elaine*
ReplyDeleteDon't panic the pictures might be able to be saved. My husband has done this for several people.(-: He is not an expert but has the talent to fix things. Look around for someone that knows computers and can take the hard drive out and work on it. If you can't find someone there let me know you can always send it to me and he can look at it for you(-: He doesn't charge to fix things he does it as a hobby!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can still get them like Cindee said. Hope so.
ReplyDeleteThis happened to me once. Now I have a small surge protector on my phone line into my computer as well as a power strip with a surge protector.
