Old Lantern Fairy Lamp

After seeing one on Flick'r, (and following to the artists' site!)I had to make one of my own. It would've been easier if I'd thought ahead and left room around the bottom of the glass chimney. I printed out an image of a young woman I'd tinted, and printed wings on a hymnal page. Lots of glue and glitter! I had to force the old rusty chimney to open, it was stuck tight, but I finally got it out and washed the glass. Of course it's filthy again, from me having so much trouble getting it back in over too much moss, so be careful and save yourself this hassle! LOL...let's see,I glued down some sheet moss, I added some fake glass chunks, a few sequin flowers, a couple sequin butterflies(Yes! more butterflies, lol) a couple grapevine tendrils, and for her wand I used a sun sequin and a piece of pink garland curled with scissors on a gold wire. I added a fake pink blossom.
Oh, and to begin with, I painted the rusty lamp a pale shade of green...looks much better in real life, sorry for the bad photos, but I took dozens, Honest!, and this one is the best I could come up with. I also made a hang tag with a fairy poem (same poem as the other fairy jars)..hope you love it as much as I do!
