Two New Blog Awards-Thank You Elaine!

I recieved these from Elaine at love2junk over a week ago, and I'm so embaressed to just now be blogging about it!!
Now, let's see...I need to pass it along to 10 bloggers, and tell 10 things about me that you may not know; this is gonna be hard!

I believe I should just pass it along to all my blogging friends!! I can't just pick 10 :D Ya'll take the awards and post them on your blog!

And 10 things you may not know?? hmmm...

1.) I've been married twice. I tell everyone that first husband was just for practice!! Hoss and I have been married 27 years now.

2.) I have a twin sister (but duh, ya'll know that, I'm always mentioning Twin!)

3.) I'm about 10 years younger than Twin! (heh, try to do the math on that one!)

4.) My mother became pregnant with us Twins and gave birth exactly 9 months after moving in to this house. The neighbors all thought it was the artesian well water we have that made her fertile, so they all came from miles around to get jugs of it so they could have lots of babies!

5.) I'm a messy housekeeper...in fact, I'm not even a housekeeper. I'd rather be crafting.

6.) I believe in ghosts, spirits, psychic phenomena; loved ones sending us messages from heaven...pennies from heaven...

7.) I love the Thin Man movies.

8.) I was on a 4-girl team that won 1st place in a tri-state shooting match when I was 14 years old; Twin was on that team, too.

9.) I learned to drive a car when I was 10 years old; the first car I drove? an old Impala as big as a tank! 10 is also the age I learned to shoot at targets, not just the possums that got into my hen-house.

10.) My only son died when he was 27 years old in August of 2004.

Well, that's probably way more than you ever wanted to know, I'm so boring.

I sharpened my colored pencils today, planning on sketching, just looking for inspiration. Those shavings remind me of zinnias, so pretty.

Aren't they pretty? All I can think of is quilts when I use my colored pencils, though, it's all those years of working with them and graph paper working out quilt blocks and quilt layouts.

All I was inspired to do was make a pencil bouquet in this pretty milk glass vase. No watering, no wilted blossoms!
