A Finished Fairy In A Vase And Yard Sale Treasures

I finished the baby fairy in the blue vase with some pearl and crystal bead garland. I always wanted some of this garland to play with, but wasn't about to pay the $13 or so dollars it costs. This past week-end I found one for a quarter! It's perfect for this fairy project.

Here's a photo of some bits & pieces I bought at this past week-end's yard sales.

There's the garland, and the rest are some pieces that had rhinestones or glitter or painted pretty. What's great is...the lady first told me a quarter each, and as I began choosing the ones I wanted, she said take it all for a dollar...yippee skippee! She handed me a zip-loc baggie to put them in, and I pulled out a dollar to pay; then she tells me, oh she meant I could have the jewelry in the tin, too! Oh, wow, I did the happy dance! Hoss got a great deal, too, a couple propane tanks for the grill and the outdoor burners. One was 5 gallon, and the other was, I think, 7 1/2 gallon. The 5 gallon one had propane in it, too. She told him $5, and he said great! and then she said..oh, take both for $5! Hoss did a happy dance, too!

Now, this was hard to photograph. It's a sterling silver rosary bracelet with pearls. I feel silly that I've never heard of such a thing! But as Twin and I were looking through all the pretties, we saw this, and she said that must be what it was, since it looks like 10 Hail Mary's and an Our Father. So we looked it up..wow, there's lots of them out there.....

And here's a photo of some cool summer fun.....man, I wish I could still do this!
