I jumped out of bed this morning and started my search for those old quilts for the sunflower centers. Good thing I have one of those Gopher-grabber thingies because I saw one in a Space bag halfway across the room, but I couldn't quite get to it. First I had to move some huge picture frames and some curtains. That let me see the drawers that came out of the roll top desk (crap, I forgot about THAT project..I have to stain and finish it) Eventually I could climb over and stretch to get the quilt and pretty soon I'd cut some pastel circles ,and some darker colors for the two versions of the sunflowers. At the last minute I thought "ooOOoh, buttons would look cute in the center", so I got light ones for the white sunflowers, and dark ones for the yellow ones. I didn't stain the white ones, now I wish I'd done a light little tea stain or something. Maybe the next batch! These are hot glued to bamboo skewers and have torn strips of green prints tied to them for leaves.

Those puppies are growing and I feel like I'm chasing 4 young'n's that are all in their terrible twos....three puppies and my 5 year old hyperactive grandson. My grandson started medication this morning; he came home from school slightly zombie-fied. It was hard to tell if it was the Adderall or the fact that he came down with a cold at the same time.

The gold one is Tucker, the black one is Koko, and the white and gold one is Winston. Winston is the most accident prone dog I've had in a long time. He was play-fightin' with the other pups, and he got his tear duct hurt..poor lil' dude. In this photo I'd just yelled at them and taken the empty aluminum foil tube away from them. They're doing great on the house-training; they run to the door and scratch to go out; then they come back in and pee and poop all over the place!
