A Finished Fairy In A Vase And Yard Sale Treasures

I finished the baby fairy in the blue vase with some pearl and crystal bead garland. I always wanted some of this garland to play with, but wasn't about to pay the $13 or so dollars it costs. This past week-end I found one for a quarter! It's perfect for this fairy project.

Here's a photo of some bits & pieces I bought at this past week-end's yard sales.

There's the garland, and the rest are some pieces that had rhinestones or glitter or painted pretty. What's great is...the lady first told me a quarter each, and as I began choosing the ones I wanted, she said take it all for a dollar...yippee skippee! She handed me a zip-loc baggie to put them in, and I pulled out a dollar to pay; then she tells me, oh she meant I could have the jewelry in the tin, too! Oh, wow, I did the happy dance! Hoss got a great deal, too, a couple propane tanks for the grill and the outdoor burners. One was 5 gallon, and the other was, I think, 7 1/2 gallon. The 5 gallon one had propane in it, too. She told him $5, and he said great! and then she said..oh, take both for $5! Hoss did a happy dance, too!

Now, this was hard to photograph. It's a sterling silver rosary bracelet with pearls. I feel silly that I've never heard of such a thing! But as Twin and I were looking through all the pretties, we saw this, and she said that must be what it was, since it looks like 10 Hail Mary's and an Our Father. So we looked it up..wow, there's lots of them out there.....

And here's a photo of some cool summer fun.....man, I wish I could still do this!

thanks ya'll! I sure got a lot of pretties. I separated them before I thought to take a photo, so those photos are just a part of it..

Kudzu, you made out great at that sale. Love the rosary bracelet. It has been pretty hot here in Florida. The slide looks like fun but if I ever tried it I don't think I would be able to get back up!!

You had many great yard sale finds, and Hoss did, too. Those propane tanks are expensive. I wish I could go to more yard sales. Here we only have them on Sat. and I work every Sat. at the candy store. I love all the jewels you found. And the fairy baby looks great with it's new "jewelry". It's perfect now.

Hi Kudzu, I just had to meet someone with the screen name of Kudzu. I'm new to the south, SC, and had never seen it before. It sure does run amok.
And, you love yard sales. I love yard sales and thrift stores.
I love your work.
